Minimum Wage Ordinance (Chapter 608 of the Laws of Hong Kong)

In terms of wages, according to the Minimum Wage Ordinance, the wages of an employee in any wage period, calculated on average based on his total working hours, shall not be less than the statutory minimum wage level. According to the latest government regulations, the statutory minimum wage level has been raised to HK$40 per hour from May 1, 2023.
