Beware of Scam Traps

Recently, multiple citizens have fallen victim to investment scams, with total losses reaching HK$30 million in a single day. Scammers have been active on platforms like YouTube and 28House, using various tactics such as secondary scams and posing as investment experts.

Despite the different methods, most victims received WhatsApp messages from strangers or were pulled into unfamiliar groups! The police remind everyone to use the "WhatsApp Privacy Setting" to avoid being added to scam groups.

Steps are as follows:

1. Click Settings

2. Click Privacy > Groups

3. Click My Contacts
